Co-founder and director Clare is David’s wife and better half, and the recipe designer for the Crafty Weka using her 30 years of experience working with food and recipes. She is also closely involved in the day to day running of the business.
Clare has a firm belief that good food should taste amazing and be nutritional, with no artificial fillers or preservatives. Simple is the key. She also believes in caring for our environment and has been involved with the design of the compostable packaging.
Outside of work, Clare enjoys hikes around the Port Hills, especially with friends and Crafty Weka Bars.
With a background in graphic design, advertising and sales, Olwyn has been with the Crafty Weka team since May 2022. She looks after our Australian customers, processing their orders and is constantly on the hunt for new business opportunities across Australia. As well as assisting with online and New Zealand customers, Olwyn helps prepare point of sale aids as and when required.
Outside of Crafty Weka, Olwyn enjoys yoga and pilates and can always be found cheering on her teenage children in their rowing, adventure racing and football pursuits, often enjoying a cheeky
Crafty Weka Cacao & Hemp bite on the sidelines.
Jazmin been a member of the Crafty Weka Team since May 2023. Her role within the
workplace is looking after the New Zealand sales and keeping an eye out for new
opportunities that may pop up in the NZ market. Outside of The Crafty Weka, she is
kept busy hanging out with her 2 young children, partner and 4 pets, while squeezing
some time in for herself at the gym.
With a varied education and career path behind her, Anna has accumulated a veritable smorgasbord of skills including design, writing, photo & video, social media, and marketing strategy. She has been with the Crafty Weka Bar since March 2023 and is in charge of all things Digital Marketing.
This includes managing and optimising the website and online store, organising event sponsorships, coordinating influencers and collaborations, and managing the Crafty Weka Bar social media accounts, including regular content creation. She also assists with the creation of any marketing or presentation materials for the company.
Caleb has always had a passion for food and food production. His responsibilities at the Crafty Weka Bar includes toasting ingredients and rolling out every bar that leaves our doors. He enjoys working his 9-5 and then finishing the day off with a quiet night in to unwind.
Duncan’s career in the food industry is expansive, spanning across many countries and involving a diverse range of clients from local artisan brands to global brands. His experience with major retailers and food service distributors in New Zealand, Australia, and Asia highlights his versatility and broad understanding of markets
Duncan has a flexible approach, tailoring strategies to meet the specific needs and preferences of each customer. It’s clear that Duncan has built a robust network and a wealth of knowledge in a dynamic food market.
